I’m twenty two and going out to party still scares the shit outta me. I went to town with the intention of buying a party dress, but I ended up buying instead a cute day time dress, another pair of converse and a few jumpers so I can just curl up in the cold and wonder why I can’t socialise properly …

pet-burial:

as i was heading home i found this beautiful goldfinch in the middle of the road. i pulled over & saw that it was still alive, using all its strength to keep its eyes open. i scooped it up & held it thinking that maybe i could nurse it when i was back home. this little finch didn’t make it & passed away in my hands. with this being my last day before i return to school, a dying bird is said to symbolize a new beginning. thank you, little finch, for all your strength. your passing will guide me through this year.

As much as someone can tell you things, you have to go out there and make your own mistakes in order to learn.

Young British Muslims tell the Islamic State: #NotInMyName

There’s a new trend taking over the social media pages of young British Muslims, and it’s targeted right at the Islamic State.

As Mic has previously reported, there’s something troubling about calling this terrorist group the “Islamic State,” since they do not accurately represent Islam or Islamic beliefs, but a twisted and perverted interpretation of the global religion.

So to combat this, young activists, led by Britain’s Active Change charity, are telling the terrorists to stop acting under the banner of Islam by circulating the hashtag #NotInMyName and calling out the group for “hiding behind a false Islam.”
